** Lena Ashley - wearing the Medley of Pueblo Motifs Gown. This is a two piece garment. The long side drop for the short sleeve top, and the gathered long skirt is the personal piece entered into the challenge. The applique pueblo motifs depict potter designs, kilt designs with corn symbols as well at the Raramuri mountain symbols. Lena is wearing a felt had with a flannel hat band matching the colors in the dress. ** Felicia Salvador - wearing the 1800's gown inspired by Steampunk. The off shoulder dress has the colors of our pueblo motifs and designs. The top is made of plastic water bottle bottoms painted into flowers. There are also painted wooden clothespins depicting the "manta pin" Along the waistline are painted used ribbon rolls with the different kiva colors that you see. The skirt has red painted ribbon rolls surrounding the entire flared skirt. Along the bottom is a "floating hemline" separated by cut in half water bottles. There are used spools wrapped in red, green and black yarn to depict the colors of our pueblo attire. The bottom hemline has lace and is held together by corner beads and bailing wire. The plastic covering is to subdue the colors from the spools. The hat is inspiration from the steampunk aesthetic and has painted paper rolls, wooden clothespins and the Millinery netting adorning the entire red hat. the hand bag painted by RedWing and matches the colors of the entire dress. This dress was inspired by the Steampunk movement and the colors of our Pueblo Kiva's.

** Jordan Waquiu - wearing the "50's" style pencil dress. The dropped shoulders and the pencil skirt dress has a back opening. The dress is adorned with magazine pages from "El Palacio", and has origami folded pages all over the dress. You will see pointed folds and fan folds as well as fringe pages along the shoulder edging and hemline. The top front of the dress has a design with small used batteries, and has a red painted styrofoam ball on the dress and on the flat hat. The had is also adorned with fan pages and pointed edges along with one styrofoam ball matching the other. There is black Milliner netting on the top of the hat and white Millinery netting underneath the hat to frame her face. The handbag made by RedWing and has the same magazine pages with origami folds. This dress was inspired from the 50's era and the aesthetic of the pin-up styles.
